I Just purchased a New Remington Model 700 SPS DM in 300WM. I like synthetic stocks, but the gun is light. I would Like to put a laminate or wood stock on it. Is there any Options Out there? Will a CDL DM stock Fit? Where could I find such a stock?

Cheers

I had the same dilema with the SPS I used to own. I swapped the sps stock for factory laminate and then found the rifle now kicked liked a mule (pad and lop was different)...turns out that sps supercell was very effective after all...just be careful what you replace it with...lots of options out there and yes the other 700 DM's will fit..just make sure the action lenght is the same.

If the Boyd's stock is inlet properly to begin with, all you will need to do is cut the notches in for the mag release. I had to clearance the bolt handle area, and open up the inside of the mag well for the bottom metal to fit, as well as cut the notches in for the mag release buttons. One coat of Tru-oil matches the Boyd's finish. Not very hard if you are comfortable working with wood.

Look for a Remington gray laminate stock and do what I did;

Just had to cut the notches and open for mag box and then bedded.
