Remington 700 SPS Tactical

I have been looking for many weeks now to find a place that has a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .223 for sale. The only place I have found so far is Reliable gun, but they don't have any in stock and don't know exactly when they will get any in. So if any of you guys have any idea on where I might be able to pick one up that would be great.

Gave Russel's a call, no luck they say they have one in .308 in stock but the .223 model is on back order...so the search continues. But thanks for the heads up:)
 
bought mine (.308) from frontier, the .223 is not listed on their site but give them a call you never know...

Gave Le Baron's and Frontier a call today, apparently both are on back order right now. I guess I will try Wholesale sports, Proline and Shooting edge tomorrow. Geeze this is turning out to be a hard gun to find, guess it will make it that much better when I do find one. :dancingbanana:

Ummm i'm sure i got my 700 SPS DM for about $550+taxes on sale. AND it usually comes with a box and manuals........ hehe oh and don't forget a cable lock!
 
A lot of you guys are confusing a regular 700 SPS with the 700 SPS Tactical. It comes with a 20" heavy barrel and hogue stock, kind of a poor man's LTR. Few places, if any, actually have any in stock since Remington seems to be producing far less than demand dictates. Frontier did get some in a little while back but he sold out quickly, he has also had the best price that I've been able to find.
 
Instead of SPS tactical, try the 700 police. Its pretty much the same gun, but with a much nicer stock.If you bought the sps tactical, youd probably want to replace the cheap stock anyway!

its in 223, 308 and 300 win mag, they dont have the SPS Tactical. Thats what they have, just throwing it out there.

I won't argue that the 700P and LTR's aren't worth the price, however a 700 SPS Tactical, while not as nice is almost half the price at around $650 or so.
HS take off stocks come up for sale from time to time and seem to cost anywhere from $200 to $300 or so, you'd still be well below the price of a 700P, LTR or XCR.
