Remington 700 SPS trigger

Anyone know of a way that I, as an amateur gunsmith, can tune a Remmy 700 trigger. I have a brand new 700 SPS in .223 Remington that I find the trigger a little stiff on. I also have another slightly used SPS in 30-06 on the way. I heard that it's not too much trouble, although I haven't had the stock off yet to examine the trigger group.
