I thought it was funny too, but as I know Epoxy7 personally I figure he must have had help being funny :) (dont worry, he says way worse about me).

JaysonCraig, good work with the paint. The stocks on mine are "duracoated" or something, will research what prep that requires as like the results of your work.

I kind of follow you but am a bit fuzzy on the items that I need? I am getting older and have devoted most of my life at collecting milsurps, but this is a new direction for me.
Got any leads on where the best place to get them?

Had the same issue - 20MOA rail and .015 through Burris inserts, now only .005 and just on at 100 using up all down adjust - 20 MOA internal should be enough to reach 700 so should work okay (anything further and will have to zero scope again with other inserts).

Good to hear from you Jeff/1911 health about the same, good and bad days.

Nice to hear I am not the only guy having problems with scope adjustments. I was disapointed with it in two ways, the scope, and the wrong ammo, both were not working that day.

What ammo were you shooting in it? I'm guessing 69smk for these but haven't really looked into the .223 version yet.

I actually bought it painted like that, its pretty nice. Has some flaws but with that in mind i much prefer this finish to the 'dipped' camo jobs. I am pretty sure a member on here painted it, if you want to contact him.
