Remington 700 to be back soon...let us know what you want!

Yea Phucking JUNK finish for SURE ! RJ

Absolutely!

If its gone on the SPS models, I'll probably own a new 700 again. Or get a stainless one. Kinda have an itch to be flinging 6.5mm bullets from a 700 :p

Beeron, what's wrong with the Tikkas? After owning and shooting both (and seeing a few 700s torn apart in person) I don't really see how the T3 actions worse off?

Seems like if its not from the Custom Shop, a 700 is "mass produced" from day 1. They're both great, to me anyway.

My thing with Tikka's is entirely personal preference.
After the Beretta buyout, they went into massive production. every shop everywhere is slinging Tikka's.
That is all about price point and margin I imagine.
For me, they wen't a bit overboard with the plasticizing.
And i just think building only one chamber is chintzy. If I shot LA it wouldn't be an issue for me but all my rifles are SA family.

A number of friends and everyone I know that has bought a hunting rifle in the past 5 years has bought a Tikka and they shoot fine. They also seem well made with good fit n finish. they just kinda rub me wrong z'all.

The SPS stocks and BBQ paint finish are a known weak points in the 700 line so they also have their issues. I put al my 700's in B&C stocks or MDT Chassis so the stocks are a non issue anyway. I would actually love to see every model available in a barrelled action option since we all know the SPS stocks suck and you don't even get a bedding block until you move up into their higher end.

I had an old Tikka in 270 with a steel box mag and open sights. it was awesome! and for hunting, I shoot Sako finnlight now but i woud love a XCR CT in 223 for the ranch.

anyway, just flapping my gums really.

No worries! They're your rifles, they should be what makes you happy! Was just curious.

Guns are always good for something to talk about lol
