I think my point is... the day you see Krieger, Rock, Obermeyer, Border, Bartlein, Shilen, Hart, Lilja, Brux, Broughton, ER Shaw, McPhee, Smith, Gaillard and McLennan adopting the concept of a triangular barrel, I will try one. Until then, I will go with what I know both intuitively and from a metallurgical perspective, that an asymetrical or fluted contour on a buttoned or hammer-forged barrel is a foolish idea for a rifle that is intended for shooting long strings under timed conditions.
