Remington 700 with 3 lug bolt ?

The Remington 700, from it's evolution from the 721/722/725 has never been a 3 lug action, ever, period. Remington has fielded many other models over the years with some very odd renditions, first being the 788 which was a triple rear locking arrangement with 6 lugs IIRC, and many more since in it's attempt to remain competitive with entry level rifles. I haven't paid much attention to these so maybe others can fill in the blanks on these offerings, but I can tell you, for a fact, the 700 nor it's forerunners were ever 3 lug actions.
 
The Remington 788 was the only 3 lug and it was a rear locker... nothing similar to a 700 what ever.
