Remington 700

I have been looking for a 700 CDL in 7mm-08 but there seems to be a roadblock at customs as the distributer can't get one. I noticed that Elwood Epps has a 700 SPS DM in 7mm-08. I am partial to wood stocks but just might go for a synthetic instead of waiting till who knows when. Any advice out there? p.s. I am also partial to 700's.

Where you are matters.
The difference between an SPS and a CDL is the stock, the finish and the CDL having a blind mag. Same rifle otherwise. Mind you, the CDL is a higher end rifle because of the stock and finish.
The felt recoil will be more with a synthetc stock too. Not enough to worry about though.
