I own a .300 Win Mag rem. 700 PSS & must say I prefer my .308 LTR for every thing closer then 500 meters. I was one of those few people that just did not like the HS stock. It was replaced with a AICS 1.5; now the HS collects dust in the basement. I liked the LTR stock from the get go and only added a Rooster33 adjustable cheek piece. I also recommend the Rooster33 adj. cheek piece for the HS PSS stock; I have one installed on the dust collector. The triggers are a “must tune” necessity with theses rifles. Sounds like you already have some excellent additions with the bolt knob and scope choice. You will love the ability to reach out and touch a target that the .300 Win. Mag. grants a shooter. However, the recoil is not worth it unless you are going the distance in my opinion. Make sure however you buy from stands behind the sale, as some of Remington’s rifles have some very poor quality control issues. Keep us posted on your muzzle break choice, as I have as well been considering a break. My finalists are a muzzle brake from TMWSNBN from Calgary, Alberta or a Near brake. So far I'm leaning towards Richard Near sako style brake installed by TMWSNBN.
