Remington 710 in 30-06

The scope that comes with the Savage package is an 8 point Simmons. POS IMO. I had to send mine back because the crosshairs were not level. Also, the bases are far apart. I had to buy offset rings to mount a better scope on it. Other then that, I'm happy.

YES,the bases are too far apart for some people who require a shorter eye-relief,the rifle itself on the other hand is good(IMO),I'd go with the Stevens if my budget was tight.
