Did a search but didn't come up with anything...

I have a 300 H&H MODEL 721 with a bad stock etc. that I would like to convert to a Model 700.

Looks to me like I will need to get a 700 trigger, stock, magizine, etc.

I have been told that the 721 mag. only use the long action.

If anybody could help me on what parts I will need etc. I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Well basically you are going to use your stripped barreled action and bolt. You need the rest..... stock, trigger and trigger guard assemblies, magazine box, magazine spring and follower. The spring and follower might not be required, I am not sure if you need them or not......

I just did up a 721 30-06....had it bedded into a 700 synthetic stock (magnum stock) and a 22" 700 barrel on it w/sights. Kept the old trigger but had it worked over, and the bottom metal is all from 700. All metal powder coated.

My new saddle gun that should handle the bad conditions it will face I hope.

Thanks for all the replies...

Looks like when I get back I am going to have a new project...:)

Since my gun is currently a couple hundred miles from me and I am unable to take any measurment on it...

Does anybody know if I need to find a stock for a magnum action or a long action...?

Seems I read someplace that the 721 magnum rifles used the long action...
