Remington 7400 barrels

Has anyone seen a Remington model 7400 30 06 barrel in a gun shop in Canada for sale or know where I might buy one? Not super hung up on caliber as long as it is 30 06 class round 270, 280 etc. I am sure someone has one in their rafters covered in dust.

I would suspect 7400 barrels are a bit scarcer than those from 742 models.The 7400 is a better built rifle thus less available in parts form on the used market.You might be more likely to find a whole neglected gun than just the barrel. Good luck.

Try Epp's. They have all kinds of odd stuff.

Thanks lads any tips are appreciated. I picked up a 742 cheap just wondering if using that barrel would be an option on the 7400.

If you had planned on a straight swap, it wouldn't work. The barrel extensions and bolt heads are different. If you are looking for a 742 barrel, I think I have one.
