Remington 7400 vs Browning Bar

I am in the market for a .270 semi-auto rifle for deer hunting. Are the older Browning Bar semi that much better than a Remington 7400. Are there any years, models I should stay away from? Thanks for the help.
 
The browning bar is probably one of the best if not the best hunting semi auto, before 70 ish they were made and assembled in belgium, now parts come from belgium but assembled in portugal. I dont think it matters much.

The 7400 is junk.

Browning for function. I do like the more trim, compact look/feel of the Remington and I believe it has a bit of a weight advantage but I would still take the Browning every time.

Strange I've owned several Rem750's, not ever did one so much as hiccup. Still use one on occasion. Much lighter than any bar, and with an 18.5" barrel it carries quite well
 
The 7400s are fine, but you have to be exeptionally diligent in cleaning the action and chamber. Ive seen two locked up so tight you'd swear they were welded. One had a shell half in the chamber at the time.

both weight more then 7 and and less then 8 pounds. much lighter is a bit exagerated, and the bar have a longer barrel

aaaand i discarded the mk3 hells canyon that is 6.5 pound just because its somewhat new
