Remington 760 or 7600; How to lighten trigger pull?

As always only make an adjustment, if you are confident in your abilities, and understand the consequences. I polished the engaging sufaces on mine, and clipped aprox. 3/4-1 coil off of spring. You can also tap the rear of the triggerguard, and install allen screw to remove overtravel, the end result is very close to any good bolt action with an adj. trigger. Or you can send it to a qualified smith. If a smith tells you it can't be done, he isn't the one for the job.

I had Guntech do a trigger job on my 7600 in 35 Whelen. Great work, reasonable price, excellent time turn around. The beauty of this modification is that there is no need to send him the whole rifle- simply pop out the trigger assembly and mail that to him. Highly recommended.
