The 7600's are the easiest to convert to any other caliber because of the one piece barrel extension.
The 760's use a two piece barrel extension with right hand threads, and I believe they converted to left hand threads in the late 70's
I would highly recommend anyone wanting to try building one of these to start with a 7600. The two piece barrel extensions are a pain in the neck.
That being said I did a conversion on this old 760 which dates in the early 50's. It's now chambered in 25-06

Now the .473 bolt face kind of limits the number of cartridges one could use.
How would a fella go about switching boltfaces?Any input would be appreciated
