Hey folks, in the spring I purchased a new 7600 in 243. after shooting about 30 rounds, I noticed that I was getting a separated head on the casing and quite a few "ripples", where it would split or close to it.
Long story short, Gravel replaced it. It was a great shooter about 2" at 300 yards. The issue was with new brass after the second shot, the "ripple" was showing up again.
No separated head, but very close to it. I am not running anywhere near hot loads, or even near the maximum limits, because as I said, I had a great shooter and was in the process of fine tuning a few different bullets.
The rifle has inherent headspace issues and is not for reloaders. I replaced it with a bolt gun.
