Remington 770 243?

You may find a worse rifle, but it's going to take you a while.

710 is THE absolute worst...but seeing as the 770 is an "improvement" on the 710, it has to be at least somewhat better then that gun right...so second worst? Lol.
Probably shoots just fine, I think it's the durability factor that hurts the reputation of these models.
 
They usually shoot just fine (along with pretty much every modern bolt action hunting rifle, minus the odd dog).

They do have a reputation as pretty much the worst production bolt action rifle ever made. Mostly because of the sticky bolt, clumsy stock, bad fit and finish, parts susceptible to breaking ect.

If you own it and it's functional and accurate there is no reason not to use it though.
 
I held a 770 once...then handed it back to guy behind the counter and left the store.
