Remington 770 vs Savage 11 .243

I'm debating on buying a .243 Remington 770 or a savage 11 .243. Which is better? More accurate? More reliable? Price dosen't matter.

I've never heard anything good about the 770, and nothing bad about the Savage 11

Can't go wrong with a savage. If your choices were between a 770 and a potatoe launcher, i'd say go for the potatoe launcher.

Nope. The hollow plastic stock floats too much.

Anything is better than 770/710. Anything.

So its an all-purpose boat tool? split it, and you've got the stock for a flotation device, and you've got the action/barrel for an anchor?

I'm getting the Savage 11 used for $350, so that's why I said price doesn't matter.

Lol, I put money down on the Remington 770 at my local gun store. Better go fix that. I had a choice between the Remington 770 in .243 and the Savage 11 in .243 both for $350 and I went for the 770 lol. I didn't know how bad they really were.
