Thanks Silverback. I like the rifle but thats to slow a twist I was hopeing they were 1 in9.they also have the stevens 200 on sale for 345.00 looks like I will be going with the 200 as it has a 1 in 9 twist.

Only thing I don't like about them is the tiny bolt handle. Just cannot get used to it.

I have owned a lot of 22 hornets and the 799 is the best shooter I've had, the trigger will need adjustment and is not difficult and the action needs a bit of polishing as they feel rough, but for under 500.00 a nice rifle, the bluing and polish is also excellent.
