hi everyone. So recently i bought myself a remington 870. at the range i noticed that it's tough loading the gun while wearing gloves as they'd often get caught in the gate. are there any mods or after market parts that will help to prevent this from happening?

Mossberg, Browning, Ithaca and Benelli pumps the latch stays up. So if it bugs you, then you have a choice to make ;) "new gun of course :D"

Some very constructive solutions offered here, I bet that was just what you were hoping for...

But hey, that's pretty standard for CGN :)

Anyway, no aftermarket parts that I'm aware of, but here's something approaching a mechanical fix. All modern 870 have an amazing number of sharp edges. These edges are more likely to grab at and catch the fabric on your gloves, loose fitting or not. You might reduce the problem by beveling and polishing some of the sharp edges: The lip and forward edges of the shell carrier, and inside the receiver, around and inside the forward portion of the mouth of the bottom port, and the lower circumference of mouth of the mag tube.

Worth a try.

I'm glad that amuses you. I have fired plenty of rounds through 870s and found the best way for me to avoid the glove pinch was to cut out the thumb and forefinger of the loading hand glove. It isn't the sharp edge on the lip of the carrier dog, it's the design that causes the problem. BBB has fired more rounds than I could count through 870s so I would take his advice on the subject any day.
