Remington 870 express now 299.99 at bass pro

Well, the only Express that I have I used to build the gun on the bottom. No issues what - so - ever. Does everything that it's supposed to and has been 100% reliable for me.

Nice. Basically you are calling the rest of us that have had zero issues with our Express 870s liars.

I would never call anyone who claims to have a trouble free express a liar. I would say that in recent years the odds of getting a trouble free express are way lower than they use to be.

I do have trouble with those who buy a defective express and then say all that it needed was a strip down, a bit of grinding and polishing, replacing a few parts with wingmaster parts and avoid certain types of ammo. They think this is normal or what you're supposed to get for your money:confused:

The issue is you can make a good pump guns out of solid steel and retail it for $350, so what you get with "most " express grade guns is somthing that needs alot of work.
If you want a good rem 870 then you eather have to bu ya higher grade 870 or build it.
Why do you think there is a 1 million dollar a year biz in 870 parts.

I love my 870 Express Super Mag. It has about 5000 rounds through it and works great. It doesn't get cleaned often (twice a year) and makes the guys with $3000 + shotguns feel shame on the trap range. Thanks for the heads up on the rebate, I may have to get another.

The only problem with the express is rusting and some are rust much worse than others. That is because they seem to have quality control problems only on the finish. They all seem to shoot every time and cycle every time.

Cabelas has the maverick 88 on for 199, sure its on backorder, that meant it took one week from when I ordered (with free shipping) to when it arrived at my front door.

I already have a Wingmaster, but for the price I figured it was worth it.

I've taken your side on a lot of posts but show me some hands on for the bash of the Express. Bound to be some lemons out there but they are a good solid gun..

Why do you say I am bashing when the worst I have done is agree with bbb the express expert when he says so what you get with "most " express grade guns is somthing that needs alot of work. ĂŚ agree with you that there are lemons out there. You say some, I say quite a few. I also agree that there are express guns out there that have not given their owners a bit of trouble. Hands on. I have owned one when they first came out. It was a very good gun and most of it was a wingmaster without the polish. Since I retired I have sold guns part time. At one time I highly recomended the express. Now I do not. I had lots of hands on. I had more than enough hands on when I took new guns back from disapointed customers to send for warranty repair. I agree that they are a good solid gun if you want a platform for a project. Some just want to buy something that does not give them any trouble.

Well, first off " bbb" is not an " Express Expert " but a dealer that just happens to work on 870's of different configureations - big difference.

As to the bbb "so what you get with "most " express grade guns is somthing that needs alot of work." I'll call H:S:

You get what you pay for like any gun in the quality range that your looking at. If you want it to build on or use it as delivered it is what it is.
