Hi all

I have a Remington 870 12 gauge Special Purpose Magnum. I have searched the internet and can not find the answer to my question. I want to buy a fixed choke, vent ribbed, modified choke barrel. BUT I do not know, nor can find out, what barrel(s) the gun accepts.

Thank you for any ideas or suggestions.

It should take any 870 barrel, and fire 2 3/4" or 3" loads, it should also have a magnum ejector so your G2G.

I have a 870 wing master magnum, with 30 " coke tubed barrel , and a older 870 wing master with 30 "fixed modified choke , either barrel will fit either gun. Just curious ,, why the fix choke ??

Thanks for all the replies.

Kenny
Just not sure where our %@+* government is going with the gun laws. The gun means a ton to me and don’t want the turkeys perhaps taking it.

I feel you pain with the government. I wouldn't worry too muck about choke tubes. That's about 90% of guns out there. I just bought my latest 870wingmaster . I had a wish list , 30" vent rib barrel with tubes. Took me over a year to find one Great gun, mostly use it for sporting clay , bit of trap ,bit of hunting, that's why I wanted tubes
Good luck with your gun

Thanks Kenny and good luck with your gun. I have had a 870, of some sort, since I was around 15-16 years of age. I am not much of a hunter any more, but still get out a few days a year.
