Remington 870 mag fed

Wish I could remember the maker but I remember seeing an old trench gun when I was in my teens that had a box mag, 6 Rd iirc. I don't know though, that was along time ago.

i did a little digging in some books i have and found that Winchester experimented with a box fed mag.

the literature i have says they experimented with the pump 1200 model using a modified m 14 rifle magazine.they had feeding issues and a fellow by the name of Joseph Badali designed a curved one and ended up using it on a model 1400 semi auto. he was a design wizard and was able to rectify any faults that presented . one of the problems was overcoming recoil which tended to push heavy shotgun rounds down into the mag .

Huh, I definitely rennet it being a semi auto. Looking at trenchgun pics the Browning auto5 is the closest thing that looks like what I remember, who knows what it was. It was along time ago...

When do you think they will reach Canada at the 529-549 price Im picking one up for sure. I only want one because I don't want to pay 99-109 a mag for the valtro mag plus I can only find the 14'ish inch barrel and would prefer the 20'' barrel valtro. I've already had a grizzly mag fed and wouldn't mind trying the rem. I prefer mossberg but Im not going to go buy a a sidewinder kit.
