Remington 870 Police Entry Shotgun

As I am new at this (please try not to laugh). I am looking at a Remington 870 14 inch barrel tactical entry shotgun being sold be Dlask. Does anyone have any thoughts on this shotgun, good, bad or ugly ? Thanks.

yeah buy the NOrinco copy from EPps for 350 bucks..its just as good.

Buy the Remington, then you don't have to worry if it's really just as good.

I don't know about the Dlask specific models, but I have a 14" Remington and it's bomber.

If you're new at this go with the Norinco. The entire gun will cost less than the Remy 14" barrel alone and it's 100% compatable with the Remy..

if you want it for looks then buy the nork
if you life depends on it.
eather at home , in the car, or in the bush.

Let's not turn this thread into a Norinco vs Remington argument.

The Dlask website doesn't really describe what type of modifications or improvements are performed on their 870's. Does anyone know? What receiver are their 870's built on? If there is a price premium, what does one get for the extra $?

I find 14" 870's much shorter and maneuverable than one would imagine from looking at pictures. They are very handy for a camp gun and packing it in with my bush gear is a breeze.

The original entry model came with a 12.5 barrell and were sold in Canada for a while by Scattergun Tech.

IMHO, I wouldn't recommend a shotgun like this for a new shooter; the muzzleblast from a 14 inch barrel can be pretty intimidating for even an experienced shooter.
A much more versatile gun would be something with a bit longer barrel, perhaps 18 to 20 inches, and rifle type sights so you can use either slugs or shot.

The sling point came with the extension which is made be Wilson Combat.

Yes, but only the 14' model.
