I'm looking to upgrade the stock on my Rem 870, I have a pistol grip Black warrior one on now, but I'm thinking of going with something retractable.

Looking for something not too bulky, maybe pipe stock or rails... Any good places to find these in Canada?

Also what are the laws concerning retractable stocks, is it just as long as the overall lenght of the firearm when collapsed is longer than 26 inches?

I got a Mesa tactical LEO from Dave's Surplus. Collapsible M4 style stock and enidine recoil reducer tube. Nothing finer.

AFAIK, the OAL is your only concern, but this stock is fine on anything from 14" and up I believe.

I got the Mesa as well. Enidine saved my shoulder but my hand is still numb... if only they had a thing for protecting the hand as well... LOL

Interesting. If I may make a suggestion, if your hand is numb with any pistol grip shotgun, my guess is that you're holding it wrong when you shoot. When I shoot, all the pressure from my hand on the pistol grip is on the front, pressing back. The recoil can't beat up my hand, because as the recoil compensator compresses, my hand wants to follow with the force I'm applying on it. Specifically, I only use the pistol grip to press backwards on the gun to hold it tight against my shoulder. No recoil should be absorbed by your hands at all if done right.

If you are holding the pistol grip like a pistol, taking the recoil in the hand as it appears to me, you're defeating the point of the recoil reducing stock.

Just a suggestion though. Always do as you see fit.
