Remington 870 TAC-14 12ga Shotgun Non-Restricted

Hmmmmmmmmmm ...... something does not smell right ....

"Holds 6+1 short/mini/shorty shells. Will hold additional round with +1 extension."

  • So, yes a Tac-14 can hold 6 short/mini/shorty shells in the mag tube ...... but you cannot cycle those shorties reliably!!!! :(
  • And, yes you can add a +1 extension ..... but what good is a +1 extension if the mag tube has dimples ... and I will not be able to get an extra round into the mag tube???? :(

Now, please, please, please, please .... tell me that I do not void my warranty by removing the dimples from my mag tube?

so north sylva....I have one in the mail and I also ordered an extension based on what YOU wrote above...am I to understand the extension will not work as you stated?!!

Its not a direct install, there are 2 dimples in the magazine tube that need to have work done on to install the extension. You can either drill them out, use the socket method... or take it to a gunsmith. As for warranty I'm guessing it will void it. I just got mine on Tuesday and can confirm there are dimples in the magazine tube. Luckily Tactical Ordnance is 1 town over and can flatten them out for me. I'm not impressed with North Sylva implying you can just add a magazine extension on easily.

And so true to form North Sylva has simply ignored and replies to all this but I see they have now removed any mention of the extension which was in their headline. Seriously this is your customer service? this is your level of expertise in your product?! grow a pair and own up to your mistakes and $ you are costing your customers due to your misinformation!

Customer service from North Sylva? Never heard of such a thing. This is literally the type of information that makes or breaks a deal. Sorry to the guys who found out the hard way, but thanks for bringing to light.

These are two Tac 14’s I got from another dealer. Not imported by north Sylva. Don’t mind the cerakote or furniture that was done after. I just checked my tubes, One is dimpled one is not ... might not be their fault if it’s not consistent from the factory?

hey if anyone need the dimples removed and a+1 we can do both.
the above photo is of our mag tubes it comes with new spring delrin follower and sling plate

Nickel plated?

I've asked in like 2 threads, emailed twice, but i am trying not to bug you guys by phone. I understand they may not be currently available, but any indication or ETA would be great!

Thanks in advance S&J

So what your saying people need to calm down and it’s not the end of the world, many manufactures will use parts that are in hand to build product and this has been the case on the TAC-14 shotguns.
