Never mind parkerizing - buy a can of Brownell's Moly-Teflon Baking Laquer and do it yourself....

Is that the same coating you had on that bolt action you showed me at your place back in '04? It looked like a very easy maintenance piece of kit as I recall. I've been going with a lot of stainless these days (though I don't know of a stainless 870). I don't really mind spending a few moments wiping down at the end of the day and applying a little CLP. becomes part of the ritual. Still, I can definitely appreciate good low maintenance or forgiving options.

That's the stuff Jim - I'm a huge fan of their matte black and FDE and have used it on probably a couple dozen long-guns and 6 or 7 handguns with great results...

Brownell's ships all Haz-mat stuff UPS so if your close to the border you can get it shipped there and pick it up on the US side if not UPS charges big $$$ to cross the border.

That sums it uo - I get it shipped to Michigan and walk it across. No issues ever...
