Remington 870 Tactical/Mossberg 590A1

Hi Donkbet, I've owned my 870 Express for over 28 years, and have never had any problems. I've got an 8 + 1 round extension (2 3/4 in.) on her (my baby). There are no comparisons between the Rem. 870 to any Mossberg. Rem.870's are built to last and take a beating, the 870's haven't really change all that much in over 40 years. Why screw with perfection! I have used my 870 to hunting black bear and deer for years and home protection and as back up when hunting. So if I were you, I'd buy an 870. The 870 is probably one of the easiest shotguns to maintain. It's been a standard firearm in use by the military and police for decades. There are a crap load of accessories for the 870 out there, buy one and you will never regret it.
Thanks M.

P.S. I didn't see your post about ordering the Mossberg, oh well, you should still look into getting yourself a 870!

I have an 870 Express Tactical 6+1 and love it. The ability to use different chokes out of the box really sold me.

I've added a few aftermarket items to it (jumbo safety, follower, rail clamp, non-mim extractor, QD sockets).

A thing of beauty IMO

I have both an 870 Wingmaster and 590A1 with 18.5" barrels.

My 870 has jammed up once or twice in 3 years. My 590A1 has not yet failed to properly cycle and fire each and every round put through.

The choice really comes down to each guns ergo's, what kind of stock you want really.
