Remington 870 Tactical/Mossberg 590A1

I have both an 870 Wingmaster and 590A1 with 18.5" barrels.

My 870 has jammed up once or twice in 3 years. My 590A1 has not yet failed to properly cycle and fire each and every round put through.

The choice really comes down to each guns ergo's, what kind of stock you want really.

Good point! The ergo's of a pistol grip Mossberg makes thumbing the safety difficult. All my shotguns have regular stocks.

Do any of the 590 models have screw-in chokes?

All of the ones I've seen are just plain cylinder bore.

Ive been a remington guy since i got my pal. i have 6 in different setups and one maverick 88 but now i want a 590a1 just because im a lefty i usually dont use the saftey but 590's are comfortable too so that tenlls you something there. Enjoy and post pictures.

Definitely my choice as well. I much prefer the 590's safety location and loading gate style. Put a +2 on my 18.5" 590a1 and I love the thing! You will not be disappointed!

I noticed some US retailers are selling the 590 Magpul MOE forend. Anybody see these in Canada yet?

Nope but the A1 series have the heavier barrel that you can send out to get threaded for choke tubes.
