Remington 870 with 14" Barrel Now Available!

Lots of nay Sayers in this thread... I agree that the price high.

But I can tell you that reliable is one of the best if not best Canadian gun shop out there. Good service great pricing ... sometimes Shane doesn't charge me at all.

If you doubt me head on in... you'll see.

I drive all the way down from 100 mile house bc just to deal with Reliable Gun. I don't make myself known but always seem to leave pleased with the bill and even more pleased with the exceptional service and staff attitude. Now..... i also think the price on this one is kinda off but I don't need a shotty right now..... I'm just here to give some props to BC's best firearms retailer.

Thank you everyone for your feedback and support. I have looked into this, and it seems there was a glitch on the pricing coming out of our system. As I'm sure many of you know, this isn't a factory configuration available from Remington, we built these as a kit by taking a 18" express and swapping in a 14" barrel. When we built the kit in our computer system, it took the cost and price of both the barrel, and the original 870 express and added them together, not taking into account it wasn't coming with the original barrel. I have updated the pricing to correctly reflect the price of the product as shown. You can find the listing with the updated pricing on our site here: https://www.reliablegun.com/en/remi...c-stock-4rds-single-bead-sight-fixed-cylinder

As always, we thank you for your support, and look forward to seeing you online, or in-store in the future!

PS: Keep an eye on our vendor forum and social media feeds for some cool announcements this week.

Regards
Warren

Busted!

(It was the computer's fault!)

Strange that folks on CGN caught the discrepancy before anyone on Reliable's staff caught it.

Just sayin'...

So, what else is mis-priced due to a "glitch" in the computer pricing system? Presumably it's the same one used in this example?

It would be better if the idividual or individuals just fess up and admit they used poor judgement when deciding the price on these instead making up stories and blaming it on a computer glitch.

Either that or get rid of their IT guy, lol!

Hi @Granddad, thanks for the feedback. This is one of the first "kits" we've built and offered, and as such there were some caveats we didn't foresee. We are constantly reviewing our pricing, and work incredibly hard to ensure our prices are fair, and competitive, but unfortunately some items do fall through the cracks occasionally.

@Mister Donut, we at Reliable are a team, and see no reason to throw individuals under the bus, that is toxic behaviour that doesn't help anyone.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback, some constructive, some less constructive. We will take this opportunity to learn from our mistakes, and work to improve our offerings in the future.

Regards,
The Reliable Gun Team

I think people are just sensitive about pricing now after the whole M+M debacle and don't like to be gouged. I've shopped at Reliable for years and their prices are fair - sometimes cheaper than others, sometimes not. Same as their staff - some are great and some are not. Whatever happened here, they at least adjusted the price and apologized. The same can't be said about Mickey Mouse and NS.

Will continue to shop there since they price match other stores anyway ;)

Reliable Gun is an excellent company, and arguably my favourite gun store in BC. That being said, I don’t believe you represent the best interests of the company, in fact, you are making things worse.

Instead of coming clean and admitting to making a poor decision, blame is put on the weak excuse of “computer glitch”. When called out, the individuals (there are only two of you, and you know who you are) hide behind the rest of the Reliable Gun Team.

Essentially, YOU have thrown the rest of the team under the bus. It’s unfortunate that the rest of the crew has to work with a couple of blades.

Mister Donut, If you can't afford to pay the ticket or you simply don't like/disagree with the pricing then just move along without the derogatory remarks and insults or say what most peeps said "too expensive" . So what if someone there intentionally charged a large premium on a gun? You don't have to like it nor buy it. Why would you insult two of the Reliable team members and make assumptions on his mistakes and what the Reliable Team represents? There's no way you could know that. Those are your assumptions. Are you perfect? Never made a mistake and felt ashamed or even tried to save face? Those guys are all cool over there. We need shops like Reliable. We want them to be successful. It's the best shop around. Go easy. Peace.

Honestly Mr. Donut, If you wanted to buy one which I doubt, the price has been adjusted to a very reasonable price. If you don't want to buy it then move on. You are not the price police. They can charge whatever they want. You don't have to buy it. Have you seen some of the prices at the 1911 house ? Why aren't you over there being all indignant. What happens behind the store counter is none of your business to put it bluntly. You just move along. Do you start a rant every time someone on the EE asks a ridiculous price ? It's just not your place or mine. Have a snickers bud. I know you mean well.

It’s funny people don’t know what kind of guns mister donut have and what he can afford ....yet they claim he can’t afford a $800 shotgun LOL
