Remington 870 with bipod :)

Ask your self how that mag tube is attached to the receiver...was it made to carry repetitive loads like the recoil of a commercial slug while the weight of the gun is on the bipod?

You will be putting some lateral strain on the barrel lug as well.

Your gun, but I don't know if this is a great idea for longevity.

Seeing as we are in turkey season seems a perfectly reasonalbe set up to me. With turkey you want as little movement as possible.

I just had this conversation last month with a buddy about putting a bi-pod on an 870
but I didn't know how I was going to do it. Is there a part number for this from Versa-
pod. This makes a lot of sence for turkey hunting.

Everyone is aware a shotgun is supposed to be fast handling and quick to shoot hunting gun, and not try to be a make believe sniper, right? It's a shotgun not a .22-250. take that thing off and use it how it was intended.

With that mentality, SKS's, Enfields, and other milsurps have no business shooting game?? Its not a sniper, it is a slug gun with a scope. All my deer guns (including my slugger) are scoped....does that magically turn it into a sniper?

I am interested to hear how it shoots, and the size of the groupings!! Keep us updated.

Well, May is Zombie awareness month, and that would help with an on the wall repelant position. Just cause there could be lots and lots of walking undead, you don't want to wear yourself out to soon.:p

But hey, for a shotgun only hunting area, great idea!

Great Idea? Yes shooting a 3" Turkey or slug from the prone position sounds like great fun to me. Time for shoulder surgery.
