It uses slightly modified ar barrels, so any length is easy.

I think Remington did a nifty job in making it super painless to swap out barrel and bolt for a caliber change. Looks so simple. Wonder if they come in all black (with OD interchangeable furniture).

I don't believe that Remington did ANY work on this beyond purchasing the rights to the design by way of buying Bushmaster. It doesn't look to have changed from the initial mods that were done by Magpul and Bushmaster a couple of years ago.

Either way, still looks like a great system.

Well, depending on what kind of bolt face would be used, and if the bolt is swappable with the AR15, it could be doable.

The original Magpul version had a lower half that swapped out to take AK mags.

I really dont get the point of the quick change barrel, when you will need too rezero your sights ever time you change. Am sorry I am a poo poo errrrr but I cant see any army trading in there m16/m4 platforms for it.

That's exactly what I've been thinking for a long time. I'd like to play with it, but I'd pass if it cost more than a good AR.

Well,you don't have to re-zero - the user can simply swap in the optic for the barrel that it was zeroed for earlier.

True but the barrel may not always reseat in the same place every time you lock it in. Also since the hand gaurds a removable, how much play or flex do they have? "mounting PEQs" I know RASs are pretty bad for flexing and not holding zeros.

I think we have reached a point where most new weapons are not really that much better then what they are trying to replace.
