Started seeing adds for this in the gun pubs this month.

Looks like it has finally come to fruition. I was hoping that, like the FN SCAR, it would be available in 7.62 but the adds I read so far all indicate 5.56, 6.5 & 6.8. Initial reported MSRP's were listed at $1599USD but I could not find any updates on this.

Regards,

It suppose to be available to the military and law enforcement in Q3 and civilian sales in Q4, whether it will be granted an import permit or not will be depending on whether they get a US Military contract, if they do that means it will be put on a restricted list, like most of the really cool toys. If they don't get a contract, the initial domestic sales will keep it in such a short supply, what ever rifles we manage to get up here will be no more than a trickle, so the price will be really ridiculous.

I think that the old Bushmaster / Magpul rifle . Doesn't Rem own Bushmaster ? Its says "The ACR is being redesigned to be a superior offering to compete for the next generation US Army infantry carbine and subcompact weapon requirement and will be available to select customers in 2009."

Cerberus. Apparently they own DPMS, Marlin and a few others too.

From a firearm blog, with rumours they just took over AAC. I think they designed suppressors for the ACR and MSR?

Either way if the actual USD MSRP is close to initally advertised then we are probably looking at $2500 up here (assuming the DOS lets it thru).
It is good to see a concept firearm come to be in a *relatively* short time frame. IIRC the Masada was first featured at shot show 2007 so two years to the civi market is pretty quick. Again, I just wish it was available in 7.62 like the SCAR.
