How tight to do tourqe the action screws on a Remington 700? Also, another dumb question, when you take a action out of the stock, do you go and sight the gun in again? or should it be ok? I never have, but kinda thought it would be a good idea to do...

If I am not

mistaken the common is approx 65 INCH lbs. I am not sure how many inch lbs in a foot lbs. I can assume 12 but I have no idea.

You should not have to sight it in but 1 shot should be all that is required to confirm its POI.

I went

to online conversions and 65 inch lbs is just under 5.5 foot lbs.

If the stock is properly bedded and the barrel floated, point of impact should not change taking the metal in and out...
