Remington Bronze point ballistic tips ??
These are a Bronze point ballistic tip bullet....anyone use these for regular hunting applications...how were they and what kind of a job did they do...A buddy of mine uses them and swears by them but I have never seen anything that he has taken with them after it is skinned out...just curious is all about any experiences....

I have a few hundred in 130gr for my 270....should be good on deer and the likes I would think Eh?

Bob, if this is the standard bronze point, I shot a few deer with the 130-grain 270 back in the mid-80's. They are at least as explosive as the ballistic tip. Sudden death on deer but I didn't like how much meat they bloodshot. For a broadside in the ribs they are perfect, just wouldn't want to shoot (any more) deer through a shoulder with them.

much like a ballistic tip. i wouldn't expect too much penitration if you hit bone. should be ok for a broadside hit. i prefer tougher bullets myself. partitions or bonded like scirrocos.

That's the only shots I have ever had to take. If it is within decent range,I usually go for the neck...but ya just never know sometimes...was just curious is all, as I have a whole whack of them to play around with

It is basically a hollow point bullet with a thin covering. Very expanding type bullet better at longer ranges than close up.

I have used the 130 Bronze points in my 270 for sheep with H4831. It is very accuarte and does well, but like the others have said, you'd better make sure it is in the ribs and nowhere else!
