Remington/Browning/Tikka Long Range winner?

It is hard to argue that Tikka (Sako) makes a great rifle, that would be my pick out of the three options you have listed. I personally like Savage, IMO they have the best $/accuracy rate of any manufacturer.

sold the last tikka older one have all sakos now i miss the tikka 338win. and thinking about the 338 lapua 42

I have almost no experience with the Browning but given the three you've listed I'd say Tikka T3 all the way. Get a heavy barrel in either Varmint/Super varmint or Tac and you won't be disappointed. Very accurate right out of the box and an incredibly smoooooth action.

Well I can't see myself wanting to take a game shot at over 500 yards. Not based on ability but I'm a fair chase hunter. I like to track and stalk. That's more fun to me.
Under 500y is fair, over 500 is not?

As long as the type of hunting you do is legal and ethical in the eyes of the regulations/law, we as hunters need to stop pointing fingers amongst eachother for hunting in a manner we may not personally agree with. in fighting amongst ethical and legal hunters will be our downfall if we dont stop it, It makes us look weak to the anti's

I just picked up a T3 stainless varmint a couple of weeks ago and it is really a terrific rifle. I got it just for target shooting though. I don't know if i would want to take it hunting. It's quite front heavy and would be a pain to carry around all day.

Fair chase hunter is a term used to describe hunting where you don't use a stand or bait a certain spot. You track, stalk and chase the animal. I apologize if you misunderstood what I meant. I didn't mean if you fire at over 500 yards its not particularly fair, it's just not fun to me. Calm down.

Weight doesn't really bother me too much in a rifle. I always have a sling and bi-pod on every rifle and I've always trekked when I've gone hunting. I will admit though. Walking a mile with 3 milsurp rifles, your range bag and targets because your four wheeler got royally stuck on the way back from target shooting, is not fun.

Maybe you need to buy a winch for the atv:) I'm sure you will be happy happy with the sendero.

Go to a gun shop and get all three next to each other and cycle the actions one after the other. If you do it with your eyes closed and forget what anyone has told you, I bet you pick the Tikka based on just the action. At least I did.
Not sure if 30-06 is considered a high recoiling round or not but I know my Tikka 's holding up fine. With probably 1200-1300 rounds down the pipe. Tikka trigger is adjustable to the point where it has no creep at all.
Really though you can't go wrong with the 3 listed

I understand the term, 500yd shots do present themselves other than from a stand or bait situation.

I think we need to stop trying to edit the opinions of others be they gun owners or not.

I was with a buddy and his little Honda didn't like the wet snow with two 6'4 guys and about 6 guns plus gear haha.
I've been recommended the 700 now at two different gun shops, one offered me his custom build but that kinda ruins some of the fun. The other guy was an ex-CAF soldier that was in a squad, (or maybe platoon, I can't remember exactly what unit he said), with Rob Furlong.

Top remmy like the sender ogives you a good rifle and the widest asst of aftermarket parts if you can't afford to get everything you want in one shot. A Jewell trigger alone makes the remy a contender against anything else.

Out of all the guys I shoot with. Have seen Sako savage titka browning coopers and my loved rems shoot like ####! And seen them all shoot the lights out! Pick the gun that feels good That will be the best shooting gun for you!
