Remington Fieldmaster 572 Value

Hello,

There is a field master 572 at a local online auction coming up, and I was thinking of putting a bid on it. It's not in the greatest shape, but it doesn't look horrible. I'm wondering what kind of value these guns have.

It looks very much in the same shape as my first year of production Remington 552 (the semi-auto version). I paid $300 for mine I would think somewhere in the same neighbourhood for this 572.
 
I would not bid over $300 if you have to factor in fees and taxes.

Do you mind sharing which auction site, is there anything else listed that's interesting?
 
I picked one up at the Brandon MB gun show last December for $275. Is a 1966 model and looked in a lot better condition than the one in the pictures. My local gunsmith took it apart, aand said it seemed almost unfired. I wouldn't pay more than $250 for the gun in the picture. Don't get in a hurry, as I looked for 3 years for a match for my 552!!!
 
Remington still lists the 572, they are over $800Cdn in the store and I can't imagine the sales level are all that high.
Fun guns with a real short pump stroke.

The one pictured does look pretty used and seems to be missing the sight elevator.
 
The auction closes in an hour, so I guess we'll see what it goes go. I put a low bid on it.
Edit: It went for $340. Too much for something in that condition in my opinion.
