What is the use of those rounds ?

A guy told me that those disintegrators don't pass thru car doors.

Are they legal ?

What about terminal ballistic compared to JHP

I shot a couple boxes. Bought 'em from Wolverine (I think) and was planning on using them at Target Sports range but was told no jacketed frangible stuff. Fark me! Shot them at paper. They didn't penetrate the berm. :p

They're more for varmint hunting but I'm guessing they'd do well if you were shooting at steel plates at a close distance.

They are designed to disintegrate when they hit steel targets and/or backstops, to prevent ricochets. Yes they are legal, some indoor ranges require them for rifle calibres to minimize damage to their backstops and prevent sparking and fires.

As above, they were designed for Close Quarters drills on steel plate targets, to reduce ricochet damage to the shooters.

Some of them also meet the 'green' requirements of non-lead ammo that the US Military has decided was worth sending a great deal of money upon.

Dunno how they would work on gophers.

I picked up about 3000 .223 cases after the Ottawa Police where doing drills with their AR-15's. Have about 75 live rounds I found scattered about as well. They use them because they shoot steel and I'm told they make ground hogs go pop. Haven't tried them myself yet.
