I bought a pail of these to teach my son centerfire and for the brass. When I opened it first thing I saw was two different types of primers. About 1/3 are steel, the other 2/3 are brass. Anyone else notice this, see any difference between the two? I would expect them to be the same, with the possibility of a different pail having different primers!
 
One would expect even cheap bulk to be visually the same. On closer examination it appears there are varying shades of brass coat, I suspect an uneven basestock for the primer cups, thus being second run.
 
where did you find the bucket?

Colour would be the only difference on the primer, the metal is the same. but even if it was different reloading it will fix that.
 
I got a response back from remington in record time. I was right on the plating issue. Looking for minute of 200yd gong accuracy so it will be just fine, had an ocd moment is all!
