Remington Hepburn sporter in 40x3 1/4 chamber where to start loading? brass?

I just acquired a Remington Hepburn sporter in 40x3 1/4 clambering. Does anyone know where I can find brass for this beast? Ideas for loading?

40 cal. 3.25" sounds a lot like what we know as 40-90 Sharps Straight. You will need to make a chamber cast to determine exactly what you are dealing with. A search through the sponsors will reveal someone who can order the brass for you. Bertram brass is what you will need. Be aware that there is 40-90 SS formed brass (slightly tapered) as well as 40-90 SS STRAIGHT unformed brass. As a target gun, you might also want to consider paper patched bullets.
