I use Remington hypersonic steel shot with “xelerator wad technology”

It’s 3.5 in ,#4 shot and the box claims 1700fps

My question is does anyone have a load that will get the same performance(speed range shot pattern) or the same load as factory for these shells ? I’ll be using the once fired hulls but need powder and wad recommendations any help is appreciated

Remington hypersonic combines hot primer, powder and wad to achieve that speed without causing over-pressure. The key is primer and wad design.
Xelerator wad is patented and not available for reloaders.

For a 3.5" shell the fastest load I have on my books is from The Handbook of Shotshell Reloading (Kenneth W Couger) - 2007
Gauge 12ga
Length 3-1/2"
Hull Remington SP Plastic Shell (With Yellow Plastic Basewad)
Primer Fed 209A
Powder Steel
Grains 45
Wad SAM 1 12ga 3 1/2"
shot (oz.) 1 1/4
P.S.I. 13100
F.P.S. 1595

Thanks for the info, so there’s no way to achieve 1700fps with reloads? We shoot duck at quite a long range and that extra speed helps a lot

Never heard about actions being destroyed, but I got two Terror Chokes expanding and getting stuck in my barrel. #1 steelshot at 1650fps. These chokes are a joke and will NOT hold the pounding of high speed steel.
