Remington M14 1/2

I finally took the M14 1/2 in .44WCF I picked up this summer to the indoor range tonight. Using Winchester factory 200 gr. jsp's, it put 4 rounds into 5/8" c-c at 25 yards. the first round on the freshly cleaned barrel was an inch left of the other 4. It was probably me more than the rifle. I think it's a keeper.

I had a 14 1/2 when I was kid. used it for deer, coyotes and red fox. (some jackrabbits too) I used to laugh when I fired over a snow covered field at game. At ranges of 40 yards or more you could see the old .44-40 bullet lumbering over the snow! Traded it in a weak moment and now I wish I had it back. (like my first girlfriend) Enjoy that old girl!
