Remington M700 Alpha 1

The 3rd ring is still there in way of the lug raceways. The extractor is in the lug and backed up by steel. Also big plus the action is no longer too short, who will need the creeds. 243 and 260 it was even too short for the 308. Also the action is a cylinder not cut down at the back. And the goofy bolt release is changed. And a good trigger. Way better I think

I really like this rifle. Like mentioned before I’d like to see it in more
Calibers . 338win mag or 6.5 prc

I'm one of those weird people that prefer the old standard cartridges> which would be .270Win, .308Win, .30-06, .338WM, .375H&H.

Recognizing that at one time each of the above were also ground-breaking 'revolutionary' for their time type cartridges.

But you put a good rifle in any of those standard cartridges and it will appeal to the bloke that just wants to visit the local gun store to buy ammo over the counter.

And basically anybody so inclined (as a lot of GunNutz on here are), can buy one of these plain-Janes and re-chamber, re-barrel etc... to get some of the '###ier' cartridges.

Do you sell more rifles in existing, popular chamberings? Or in new chamberings? What sells more new rifles? Right now, ammo availability is a factor. Buy something odd, and there might be just one available cartridge in stock, or none. I thought 300wsm was popular, but for the last year, there has only been 1 or 2 offerings of ammo at Cabelas.
