I don't get this phobia about floor plates 'popping open'. It has certainly never happened to me, and I always dump the magazine by opening the floor plate, so the 'wear and tear' hasn't affected the latch on any of my rifles.

I had a rem 700 classic in 375 hh...had feeding problems and the floor plate would pop open an dump them often..

This is why the SPS's are cheaper than the BDL's. Just buy a replacement bm from a BDL and you will be happy. Sell the SPS and replace with a B/CDL and you will be happier.
