thinking about getting a m887. Any thoughts. interested in any owners opinions

Why not an 870?

I sort of liked the Idea that the barrel and reciever was armourd. but not sure how it will stand up over time and in the bush ect. It looks like the 887 and 870 are kissn' cousins anyways. please correct me if I'm wrong
