anyone try them yet?
i picked up a box last week to give a whirl in my 300 win mag.
are they on par accuracy wise with there regular rounds?

Not worth it and more expensive then regular .300 Win Mag. I shot them in my 700 XCR and the kick is reduced but why would you want them? .300 Win Mag is all about knock down power, just have a break installed. I just had mine come back from the gunsmith who installed a break, the recoil feels like a .308 with regular .300 Win Mag loads.

Knock down power is fine, "When you need it." Shooting a deer at 50 yards does NOT require knock down power. Ever try an afternoons plinking at the range? 20 rounds of full magnum loads is about all I care to endure.

I reload, so I can make my own "managed recoil" loads. I can shoot 5 rounds of 110gr SP @ 100yds into a 2" group and can plink 60 rounds or more without the slightest tingle in my shoulder.

If I go for Elk, I can use a full magnum load and knock the sucker down at 1000 yards. I can hunt everthibg from groundhogs to grizzly bears with one rifle. Using managed recoil loads, makes my rifle more versatile.

Before the break, I could fire 10 or 15 rounds of full magnum loads before switching to the 700 SPS in .223 or AR-15. Now with the break which feels like a .308, I can't do it all day will full magnum loads. My problem is that I don't reload, I just grab a few boxes every now and then from my local dealer and hit the range whenever I can. My 700 XCR was pillar bedded and trigger lightened to about 2 pounds which makes it crisp for plinking.
