Wildcat at #4??? They are way better than that. For a 17oz blank they are as stiff as any. And Bansner should be in 4th or 5th spot on your list. They arent as stiff and are more work to finish than the wildcat... at least the one I played with was. I cant comment on Brown Precision, as I have never had one. IMO.

The butt on the Wildcat I had was hollow, which sounded cheap. I know it can be filled with foam, but IMO it should be done already. I can't really comment on durability. I didn't find it noticably lighter than Bansner.

If the butt was hollow it wasnt a Wildcat, they all have a foam core or he would have nothing to lay the cloth over. As for the other brands, its hard to rate them in an order... they all have their own selling features IMO.

I really like the Robertson stocks as well. I just think everyone should own atleast one EDGE stock...just because
Not sure about the real big stuff, but I had one on a 660 in 350 rem mag with no issues.

I think the Rem Model 7 KS in 350RM had a McMillan from the Custom Shop,the grey ones with the funky leaf camo.
You might want to stick some recoil lugs in and reinforce the wrist. Then again, the 350 is just a Whelen with a belt, not too crazy for recoil.
I have to agree with some others on this one. The Edge is the clean winner that I have seen in the many different brands I have owned. Bansner is my next favorite. I would class my Wildcat as better than the Brown's I owned, but not by much. I hated the feel of my Wildcat though, the wrist was all wrong and the forend felt chunky for a sporter. It was stiff and it wasn't heavy (heavier than an Edge for sure). I would be really wary of using one of the lighter weight stocks with anything bigger than a 300 Mag for recoil. The wrist left me without confidence.
My Wildcat cost me $600 from RMR (my first mistake) finished so dollars to donuts, the McMillan is just as good of a deal.
I have yet to try a Manners UL or a Robertson, but with what I have heard and seen I wouldn't hesitate.

I picked up a wildcat blank last year for my model 7 saum. I did all the work myself with a dremel(needed alot of inletting for the heavier barrel)bedded and painted it. It was a weekends worth of work but worth every second. I learned alot and it turned out great.
I think the stock was $280, bedding kit $30, paint $20, pachmayer $50. I recommend doing this project yourself.

Works good, sits on my CZ hornet now. All done with Fantasy Island. already sick of snow and soccer moms though.
