Dont know a whole lot about them,so ill ask here are they any good?
im looking at one in 7mm saum,i know the ammo is an odd ball but what about the rifle?

It's a handy package in a first class calibre.If you are not a handloader though you will be limited to the 150gr Remington load,the only one offered.If you do handload grab 2 or 3 bags of SAUM brass and enjoy! Mur

I cannot comment on the caliper but owned a couple model 7 over the years and had no issues with them at all. Sweet triggers on the few I had and great for hunting in the thick stuff. I don't know if the newer ones are of the same quality but if they are I would have no issue buying another.
 
Cool. Are the new ones as well made as say the 80's models or better.

I think they shoot pretty good...
