remington model 700 SPS Tactical ???

Sorry, I was just going by what Cabela's said under the descriptions; it says stainless detachable box mags. the Sps Tactical DM is the detachable box, you can get them without the box mags though

They are not Dm, they have a BDL style hinged foor plate.

I bought one from Frontier firearms in june and finally got a chance to shoot it last weekend.

The performance was more than satisfactory IMHO, especially for a factory pipe!

Cheers!

+1 on floor plate spec.

Buddy of mine has one, great gun.

I can only find 2 tactical SPS models on the Remington web site. The AAC-Sd and the regular Tactical. no mention of a Tactical DM.

As per the Remington web site for the SPS Tactical:

Key Features:
  • 20" heavy barrel
  • X-Mark Pro Adjustable Trigger system
  • Hogue overmolded stock
  • Pillar bedded stock for accuracy
  • Durable satin black oxide metal finish
  • Hinged floorplate magazine

I have a SPS-T in 308 and am quite happy with it.

The stock is nice and grippy. It does pull on your cheek a bit though when fired.
My stock was touching the barrel until the stock was removed and reinstalled straight.
Trigger was lightened.
Barrel rifling in mine was a bit rough (fouling) but has gotten better over time and some abuse using a steel bore brush. (lots of passes cleaning)

It has been a great tool in my quest to learn about precision loading and shooting.
