Given that this is manually operated, would a 20 ro 30 round mag be legal in this rifle?

It would be, except for some unfortunate wording on Remington's part. Since they repeatedly refer to the gun as taking a standard M-16/AR-15 mag, and there OEM mag supplier admits to using the same tooling, right now we don't have a legal 5+ round magazine for this gun.

You are correct, in that a magazine designed or manufactured for this gun should have no limits on capacity.

There are 2 in ontario right now.
1 with a 10 round and one with a 5 round.

The dealer has more clips :) But I believe they are 5 and 10 rounders

The gun is common enough. However right now, the 10 round mag is more likely prohib than not. There has been some moves by a member here to manufacture a mag specificly for this gun which should be approved. There has also been efforts by Questar to get 10 round mags approved as manufactured for the RRA AR-15 pistol.

Dealers

Anybody know where a guy could get a closer look at one of those in Southern AB. My local dealer is way overpriced and should be avoided at all cost:)

I'm waiting on a back-ordered adjustable stock for mine 'cause my wife will be shooting it too, then I'll do a range report. When I took it home from the store and cleaned it up/oiled it, the action was surprisingly smooth, much easier then an 870 to cycle. Looking forward to trying it out soon to see if it's as reliable and fun as an 870 too.

After a phone call with Wholesale sports

Rifle is basicly $800 plus taxes with standard sights and 10 round clip.
Ghost rings will cost more and from information from another dealer expect to pay around $100 more.

Wholesalesports mentioned that if the mag isnt marked AR then you can put a 30 rounder in this gun and be legal.

He also mentioned that someone in Lethbridge got busted not to long ago with is this rifle and a 30 rounder :(

Hehe I think I am going to buy one sounds to grey of an area not to capitalize on it while they are still available :)

They also have the 7615s at Wholesale in Lethbridge. The 5+ mags are a definite problem though at this time. The manual says they come with a 10 round mag but the guns coming to Canada are punched so that they are restricted to 5 rounds.

Eliteboris. Help me out here please. I notice you have guns for sale and have a trader rating. How do I find what guns are for sale on CGN?

Nice gun, but it seems about $300. over priced to me. The regular 7600's go for around the $500 mark, the P series in 223 and 308 go for $800., I'm really not sure why?

the top is already tapped and plugged. uses the same weaver rail as a 870 shotgun.

you can also get a mount that attaches to the trigger pins. the reciever is a 20ga not a 12 ga size. i'm going to try a leupold mount in a couple if weeks with a spacer.
